Butterfly kisses

Good morning all and what a beautiful start to the week.
Supposed to get up in the 30's this week which for the South Coast is scorching.
My card today has been created with the Allsorts challenge in mind of Blue as the ocean.
Embossed an A4 card sheet using flourishes by Docrafts.
Distressed and picked out the embossing with ink pad.
The Butterfly faerie stamp is Faerie Poppets 'Baby Rosebud' by Christine
Haworth and coloured with pencils from WHSmith and Promarkers for her skin.
Diecuts used are Spellbinders S2-010 and S4-425.
Finished off with Bling, glitter, feathers,  flower and bow.

Poppy surprise

Hi everyone I'm back again.
On my desk earlier I had a Poppy card close to finishing.
Well it's finished but no longer a card I will be giving to anyone lol
I am being a little greedy and keeping it for my desk.
As said in a post what seems like eons ago Poppies,
particularly red ones, remind me of my grandparents.
We lived with them for a while when I was younger
and wherever you went there were fields covered with
glorious vibrant red poppies.
So I added a little calendar and turned it into an easel card.
I will be displaying it as in the 1st picture but with the option
of the calendar as well. Tada lol
I have to say I was unsure about the stamp and die sets as this is my first
but if this set is anything to go by I am hooked.
I stamped and coloured using promarkers first and then cut out
using the matching die set and it cuts beautifully first time.
No having to run it through the cuttlebug numerous times and I didn't even
have to add any paper shims.
Just the B and C plates and voila.
Items I used are...
Promarkers - Poppy, Pine, Grass, Apple and Black
Spellbinders Elegant Ovals Die -  S4-425
Sheena Douglas Poppy Die - SD-PPMD-POP
Sheena Douglas Poppy Stamp - SD-PPS-POP
Ribbon and hand tied bow, glitter and pearls.
I am entering this into the following...

Allsorts - #316 Use a stamp
Stamping sensations - Dies and punches
Love rubberstamps - #157 Use a die cut
Craft-Dee BowZ - Anything goes
As you like it  - Favourite book - Where poppies grow by Linda Granfield because it serves as a very good reminder of what my Grandfather (and so many others) went through so I can have the life I have today.

WOYWW - #316 Poppies

Morning all. Another Wednesday already ?
The time really seems to fly by.
Pop on over to Julia who started this crazy scheme
and hop on board.
On my very messy workmat today is a poppy card
I am almost finished with and for little miss Kiki
you will see a stag bar, bone and rubber dummy.
Someone asked what an oxtail was.
Here is a link explaining better than I can.
It is the tailbone of cattle.
For dogs it is left whole and they absolutely love it.
Perfect for my Chihuahuas as they last forever.

Cute storage idea

Morning everyone.
Today I have a cute little storage idea that I think is fab.
Lots of flowers for the Allsorts challenge this week 'Flower Power'
Almost didn't finish it in time.
The original tutorial by Pootles Papercraft has it as
storage for finished cards.
Unfortunately my cards are to big for it but I have found it
perfect for my little word stamps that I regularly use.
Created from a single sheet of A4 card and then decorate.
I decorated mine with 2 colours of flower paper.
Edged with lace ribbon and pearl string.
Dies used are Marianne Butterfly and Spellbinder Elegant oval.
Sizzix for the leaves and topped off with some pink flowers.
Isn't it cute ? I now have another 4 waiting to be decorated lol

OMG I almost forgot to say my Satin and Lace wedding card
was chosen as a top five in last weeks challenge *woohooo* so excited :)
Thank you so much to all the ladies at Allsorts *mwah*

WOYWW #315

Firstly hello and secondly OMG I can not believe
I thought it was Tuesday.
Almost missed this weeks WOYWW.
For anyone new to this pop on over to Miss Julia
to see what it is all about.
On my lap desk today is a Kiki.
She started off next to me so I could craft and
then decided my lap was more comfortable.
In the second pic I caught her during a yawn
but I swear she is actually poking her tongue out at me.
I was trying to work on a holder for some of my small
sheets of clear stamps. If I get to finish it I will post it lol

Admittedly I browse on there more than post but do feel free to send a friend request.
We all need friends *nods*

Altered book

Morning everyone.
Today I have a little book I have altered.
The book is a little freebie that comes through the door each year
from the British Red Cross for donations and measures 10cm X 6cm
It is a little cutie. I have altered it using Lace, pearls, little plastic flowers
the swirl flourish from the S5-143 Spellbinders set, pendant die from Sizzix,
a little gold card and a vintage  paper from a set called Vintage Floral
that came free with the craftseller magazine and to finish it of a little
white and gold satin bow.

It's Wednesday again which can mean only one thing.
We all get to go snooping. Woohooo.
Pop on over and visit the lovely Julia to see what it's all about.
Not much change on mine from last week other than the Tea
has just been brewed and it's a little messier lol
There are a couple of Ox tailbones in there somewhere as well for Kiki and Dio
Other than that it's a little boring but thank you for visiting :)

Christmas Robin

Morning all and welcome to the new followers *waves*
Grab a cuppa and pull up a pew.
The card I bring to you today is a red and gold one.
Yup, it's Christmas soon *ducks*
Although my card looks black and red it is actually gold and red.
No matter how many photos I took it looks black *shrugs*
The papers and Robin are from Hunky Dory.
Aren't they just yummy ?
Added some gold and white ribbon and a couple of buttons.
Voila, one completed Christmas card.

Father's Day Fishing

Morning everyone.
Thank you to everyone who has/is leaving comments from this
weeks WOYWW if I haven't got round to you yet I
will don't worry. I plan to visit everyone.
Today I have a Father's Day card for my Father-In-Law.
It's going to be a hard day this year as I lost my own father on
March 31st this year.
We only cremated him on 24th April so things
are still a little raw.
Anyway enough of that.
I have chosen this digi #6104 from Eureka Stamps
as the hubster used to go fishing with his
father when he was
a young boy so thought it would be perfect.
Originally I was going to add it to the Allsorts challenge
but don't think it is vintage enough so may have to
 miss it this week.
Although I love the vintage look I can never seem to replicate it
on my own cards lol

WOYWW - #313

Good morning all.
Finally stopped raining and the sun is shining Wooohooo
Todays post is for the WOYWW blog hop.
Pop on over to the lovely Julia's blog to find out all about this weekly bit of fun.
I actually tidied up my area and this is about as good as it gets at the moment.
As you will probably see in all my desk photos there is my ever present
mug of tea, I say mug but it is probably about double mug size and
yes most of the time it is full. I drink a LOT of tea lol.
My Promarkers all nice and tidy in the peg basket.
Yummy bottle of Diet coke. Another of my many addictions.
Somewhere in the photo below right at the bottom is my sewing machine.
Poor thing hasn't been used very much.
No room at the moment but I am sure it will see the light of day soon.
